UMHLANGA ROCKS
Minyanim through out the school holiday season at Chabad House in Umhlanga. The Shul is just feet away from the Ocean. 50m from the lighthouse and within walking distance from all the hotels.
Shacharis: 8am on weekdays and on Shabbos morning: 9am – On Shabbos the service is followed by a good Umhlanga Kiddush and L’Chaim. Mincha and Maariv: 6:15pm
Variety of ready made Kosher foods will be available by order from Chabad in Umhlanga. Foods will be prepared by Shirley’s Deli Johannesburg.Â

Giant Menorah Candle Lighting every night at Chabad at 6:30pm. (Except Motzei Shabbos will be at 7:45pm)
- Sunday 21 Dec. 6:30pm – Chanukah Ricksha Party Bus leaves from Chabad House to Durban. Will be back by 9pm. Food, Latkes, other refreshments and entertainment aboard. Great fun for the kids. Must R.S.V.P.!! Kids under 12 years R25. Over 12 years, students and adults, Bobbas and Zaidas R35. [limited space on the bus ]
- Monday 22 Dec. 6:30 pm Latka Evening after lighting Giant Menorah. Best Latkas on the Rocks!!
- Tuesday 23 Dec. From 5:30pm Umhlanga Sands will be hosting a Giant Menorah Lighting and a kid’s holiday entertainment programme with lots of fun, activities and prizes.
- Wednesday 24 Dec. 6pm GATEWAY Giant Menorah Light with latkas and donuts, refreshments, clowns, live entertainment and music. Special Guest appearances.
- Thursday 25 Dec. Chabad Chanukah Braai. Jumping castle, music and the great view… Family Fun. Braai packs R60. Bar will be available. Please R.S.V.P. for catering purposes.
