I am always looking for delicious desserts for Shabbos and these are often on the menu. I have
no doubt they will become part of your Shabbos repertoire as well!
- Beat sugar and eggs until thick and pale. Add vanilla, add self-raising flour and then stir in the choc chips and almonds.
- Shape into 2 loaves and place on a lined baking tray. Bake on 180°c for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Slice into thin biscuits and place them flat on a baking tray and bake on 110° c allowing them to dry out for about an hour.
