Sticky Syrup Biscuits

These sticky biscuits are just perfect for a sneaky tea-time treat or perfect to end off any meal. The best part is you most probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry, and they take minutes to make!


1 cup of castor sugar
1 cup of self raising flour
1 egg
2 teaspoons of golden syrup
½ cup of sultanas or raisins
100g of melted butter or margarine for parev

    Start Cooking

  1. Mix all the ingredients together except the melted butter. Once mixed, add the melted butter and mix again.
  2. Line a 20 x 30 cm baking pan and press the dough down evenly into the pan.
  3. Bake at 180°c for around 20 minutes or until golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes then slice into fingers.
